Broaden & Build is led by Justin Deighton, a project director and builder with decades of hands-on experience delivering complex residential, hospitality, and commercial projects. Justin’s background spans high quality residential builds and renovations through to the creation of some of London’s most ambitious hospitality ventures, including bars, restaurants, and a fully operational brewery in King’s Cross. These projects demanded more than construction knowledge alone; they required rigorous project management, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, disciplined cost control, and the ability to deliver under pressure without compromising design intent or build quality.

Broaden & Build is strengthened through Justin’s close working partnership with Ross Scarfield, a highly experienced carpenter and joiner whose craft led approach underpins the company’s build quality on site. Ross brings deep expertise across first and second fix carpentry, bespoke joinery, cabinet making, wood machining, and detailed interior finishes, alongside a strong background in landscaping and structural garden builds. His work blends precision, creativity, and practicality, with a clear interest in modern design and sustainable building methods.

Together, this partnership brings strategic project leadership and hands on craftsmanship into alignment. Projects are not only well managed and commercially controlled, but also carefully executed at site level, where detail, build quality, and finish matter most.
